Chapter Six

Three Months Later…

“You’re going to go in and shake the whole crew up. Pay close attention to their every move. Leave the women and children out of this. This is between men.” Marco pounded his fist in his hand. Whiz, his new business partner nodded to him.

“Do you all understand?” He asked, looking everyone in the eye.

“Yes, boss. We’re in the clear.” Whiz spoke up.

He waved him off in a dismissing manner. Whiz and his men exited Marco’s new condo in a fashioned routine.

Marco was done being the nice guy. Everything he did never seemed to be enough. Since Rico got there, his father pretty much wrote him off. His main concern was Marco getting along with his siblings. He needed his kids to be able to work together in order for them all to help take over his business. Marco didn’t want to know them. The only one he cared for was Leah. She was always smiling and inviting him out with the crew. Then again, she wasn’t the one taking over the empire. Marco also didn’t believe in women running an organized drug trade. Which is why he was happy when Reyna messed up. He personally couldn’t stand his cousin. She was always trying to prove she could hang with the boys. He really despised her, ever since the day his father made the joke about her being able to shoot better then him one day. He’d never tell, but it was him who set that mission up to get her out of Colombia. It was all one big front, he told his dad that they had an enemy gunning for them in Miami. Damarcus moved on it without any questions being asked. Back then he would take Marco’s word for anything. So he sent Reyna to handle it. Little did he know, he had already paid the guy a million dollars to kill his cousin once she landed. Finding out they fell in love was even better. Damarcus hated disloyalty. He disowned the only niece he ever knew. Marco tried to get rid of Rico too. Those attempts failed, though. Rico was too smart for him.

He hated that Rico was there. Everyone seemed to be bonding perfectly with him. The same respect he wanted, they gave him. Marco also felt that his dad liked Rico more, it was always Rico this and Rico that with Damarcus. Marco was honestly sick of being mistreated. If he opened his eyes he’d see that his attitude is what turned people off.

Now Marco had a whole new plan. He was beginning to build his own clientele. His plan was to take his brothers down so that he could have the throne. Marco already knew he wasn’t getting the throne, to himself, that is. Damarcus wanted them to run it as a family. Marco respected his dad but he felt his vision was off. There was no way, he was sharing his earnings with the brother’s he never knew. This was the only way he knew how to get what he wanted.
